Workspace Settings

Configure general workspace identity and business defaults.

Workspace settings define business details used across the app.

Where Workspace Settings Live

Open Settings → General to manage workspace identity, regional defaults, branding, and SMTP settings. Open Settings → Appearance for personal layout and theme preferences. Open Settings → Language to enable custom translations.

Update Organization Details

  1. Open Settings → General.
  2. Select the Organization tab.
  3. Enter the organization name.
  4. Add industry, phone, website, and a short description if helpful.
  5. Add the street address, city, state, postal code, and country.
  6. Select Save changes.

These values can appear in finance documents, public pages, notifications, templates, and workspace identity surfaces. Set them before sending documents, invoices, estimates, forms, checkout links, or booking links to customers.

The Organization tab shows the current logo or a fallback initial. Use the logo upload action when your workspace supports file upload from this page.

Use a clean logo file with enough contrast for emails, PDFs, public pages, and dark or light app surfaces. Keep finance-specific logos aligned with workspace branding unless invoices and estimates intentionally need a different mark.

Configure Regional Defaults

Use Settings → General → Regional to control how dates, times, weeks, and language defaults appear in the workspace.

  1. Choose the locale.
  2. Choose the timezone.
  3. Choose the date format.
  4. Choose 12-hour or 24-hour time.
  5. Choose the week start day.
  6. Save changes.

Regional settings affect scheduling, due dates, finance documents, activity timelines, reports, and any workflow where users interpret date or time values.

Configure Workspace Branding

Use Settings → General → Branding to set workspace colors and upload brand assets where available.

  • Light logo: for light backgrounds.
  • Dark logo: for dark backgrounds.
  • Favicon: for browser tabs and small brand surfaces.
  • Primary color: the main brand color.
  • Accent color: the supporting brand color.

After saving, review public pages and finance document previews so the colors still have good contrast.

Configure SMTP Settings

Use Settings → General → SMTP when your workspace sends mail through a custom SMTP account.

Fields can include SMTP host, port, username, password, encryption, from name, and from address. Use the Send test action after saving when it is available.

If your provider requires app passwords, create the app password in that provider and paste it into the SMTP password field instead of your normal mailbox password.

Why This Matters

Finance documents, public pages, notifications, and templates can use workspace details. Set these values before sending documents, invoices, estimates, or public links.

Appearance Preferences

Open Settings → Appearance to choose the app theme and layout preferences. The page includes theme selection, sidebar style, and density controls.

Use comfortable density for teams that prefer more spacing. Use compact density when users work from tables all day and need more rows visible at once.

Custom Translations

Open Settings → Language to enable or disable custom translations for the workspace. When enabled, translated labels come from organization translation entries rather than only the default app text.

Use custom translations when the workspace needs client-facing or internal labels to match a specific region, language, or business vocabulary.
