Update Your Profile
Keep your personal account details accurate.
Your profile controls how your name and contact details appear in assignments, notifications, scheduling, comments, and team activity.
Keep profile details recognizable so teammates can understand who owns a task, comment, approval, or workflow action.
Profile changes affect your user identity in the app. They do not automatically update HRM employee records, billing contacts, or external provider accounts.
Before changing profile details for a business reason, decide whether the same change is also needed in HRM, billing, scheduling, or connected provider accounts.
Update Profile Details
- Open Settings.
- Go to Profile.
- Update your name and any available personal details.
- Save the changes.
Use the name your team and customers should recognize. This makes task assignments, document activity, and scheduling messages easier to understand.
If your profile includes an avatar or phone number, keep those details professional and current. They may appear in team-facing or customer-facing contexts depending on the workspace setup.
Use the same name style your team expects in assignments and customer-visible activity. Initials, nicknames, or test names can make ownership unclear.
Check Your Email Address
If your email address is editable, use an address you can access. Sign-in, notifications, invitations, password reset messages, and ownership checks can depend on it.
If the email is read-only or tied to account security, do not create a duplicate account without checking with an owner. Duplicate accounts can split access and history.
Before changing an email address, confirm you can receive messages at the new address. Password resets, invitations, notifications, and security checks may use it.
After Saving
Refresh any open app tabs if old profile details still appear in the navigation or activity feed.
Ask a teammate to verify your name appears correctly in shared activity when the change matters for approvals, HRM, or customer-facing work.
Where Profile Details Appear
Your profile can appear in comments, task ownership, deal ownership, ticket activity, document activity, workflow history, HRM records, notifications, and calendar or booking context. Use a professional, recognizable name rather than a nickname only you understand.
If you changed your name because of a legal, payroll, or HR update, ask the workspace owner or HR admin whether employee records need a separate update.
If you own public booking pages, connected mailboxes, API keys, workflows, or dashboards, review those areas after major identity changes so teammates know which account owns them.
Ownership Review
After a major profile change, check records where your identity matters:
- Assigned tasks and projects.
- Deals, tickets, and CRM ownership.
- Booking pages and calendar connections.
- Workflows, API keys, dashboards, and connected apps.
- HRM employee record if your company uses HRM.
Troubleshooting
If old profile details still appear, refresh the app and check whether the place you are viewing uses a separate employee, contact, or billing record.
If your email address is wrong but not editable, ask a workspace owner before creating another account.
If profile changes save but old details still appear in one specific module, check whether that module uses a separate employee, contact, customer, or billing profile.
Profile Versus Organization Details
Your profile controls your personal name, avatar, and account identity. It does not update workspace legal details, billing sender details, public booking page copy, or customer contact records.
After changing profile information, check the exact place where customers or teammates see the old value. Update that module's settings if it uses separate organization, employee, contact, or finance information.
