Configure Regional Settings

Set locale, timezone, date format, time format, and week start.

Regional settings control how dates, times, and locale-sensitive values appear across the workspace.

These settings are small, but they affect many places where users and customers make time-sensitive decisions.

Update Regional Defaults

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Go to Workspace or General.
  3. Open the Regional tab.
  4. Choose the locale, timezone, date format, time format, and week start.
  5. Save the changes.

These settings affect scheduling, task dates, finance dates, timesheets, reports, and team workflows.

Record the previous timezone, date format, time format, and week-start setting before changing them in a live workspace. If users report confusing dates after the change, the old values help support compare what changed.

What Changes After Saving

After you save regional settings, review the surfaces where date and time confusion would create real work:

  • Booking pages and appointment confirmations.
  • Event type availability and calendar sync.
  • Task due dates, project milestones, and recurring task patterns.
  • Timesheets, manual time entries, attendance, and leave dates.
  • Invoice, estimate, payment, expense, and report dates.
  • Dashboard widgets and exported reports.

Existing records keep their saved dates, but their display can change based on the new workspace format or timezone.

Make regional changes during a quiet period when possible. Users may need to refresh open tabs before they see the new formatting everywhere.

Choose The Right Timezone

Use the timezone where most workspace operations happen. If your team is distributed, choose the timezone used for business reporting and scheduling defaults.

For customer-facing scheduling, test one booking page after changing timezone. Confirm the public page, internal appointment, connected calendar event, and notification email all show the expected time.

If your workspace serves multiple regions, document the business timezone in an internal wiki page so teammates know which timezone is used for booking pages, reports, due dates, and finance reviews.

Do not change the workspace timezone only to match one traveling user. Personal browser timezones may differ, but the workspace timezone should represent the business operating standard used for reports and customer scheduling.

Week Start

Set week start based on how your team reviews work. This matters for calendars, timesheets, attendance, and weekly reporting.

If your team reports Monday through Sunday, use Monday. If finance and staffing reviews follow a Sunday-start calendar, use Sunday. Keep this aligned with how managers review timesheets and weekly dashboards.

After Changing Regional Settings

Ask one admin or manager to refresh Agiled and review a recent appointment, task, invoice, timesheet, and report. This catches mismatched assumptions before customers or team members rely on the new display.

Also check one public-facing flow. A booking page, invoice, estimate, or payment page is a better test than an internal settings screen because customers see the final formatted dates and times there.

Troubleshooting

If a date appears one day off, check the workspace timezone, the user's browser timezone, and the date saved on the source record.

If weekly reports or timesheets look shifted, confirm the week-start setting and ask reviewers to refresh before approving records.

If customers report appointment times that do not match internal calendars, compare the public booking page, appointment record, connected calendar event, and notification email using the same test appointment. This shows whether the problem is display formatting, calendar sync, or the saved appointment time.
