Public Estimate Actions
Let customers review, accept, reject, download, and sign estimates.
Public estimate pages let customers review estimate details and complete available actions.
Use the public estimate page as the customer-facing version of the estimate. Before sharing it, check that the page explains the offer clearly enough for the customer to accept, reject, download, or ask for changes without logging in.
What Customers Can Do
Depending on the estimate configuration, customers can:
- View estimate status.
- Review line items, taxes, discounts, and totals.
- Download the estimate PDF.
- Download attachments.
- Accept the estimate.
- Reject the estimate.
- Complete required signatures before acceptance when signatures are configured.
The exact action set depends on estimate status, expiration, signature requirements, and payment or approval settings. A draft estimate should not be shared as the final customer link.
Review From The Customer Side
Open the public link in a private browser window and verify:
- The customer name, company, and billing details are correct.
- Line item names, quantities, taxes, discounts, and totals match the internal estimate.
- Expiration and accepted/rejected states are clear.
- Required signatures appear before acceptance when configured.
- Attachments and PDF downloads work.
Share the Right Link
Send the public estimate link only after the internal estimate is ready for customer review. Do not share an internal workspace URL, draft preview, or old revision link.
If the estimate was updated after sharing, resend the latest public link and explain that the customer should use the new version.
Before sending from email or chat, paste the link into a private browser window and confirm it opens the customer-facing page, not an internal editor or stale preview.
Accepted, Rejected, and Expired Estimates
Once an estimate is accepted or rejected, the available actions change. Expired estimates may not allow the same actions as active estimates.
After acceptance, return to Agiled and confirm the estimate status changed before creating follow-up work or converting it to an invoice. If the customer rejects the estimate, review the rejection context before duplicating or revising the estimate.
If signatures are required, treat the estimate as complete only after both the acceptance status and signature completion state match the process your team uses.
Customer Questions and Changes
If a customer asks for a change, update or duplicate the estimate from inside Agiled, then resend the public link. Avoid asking customers to approve an old page while discussing a different scope in email.
If signatures are required, confirm the right recipient is assigned to each signature field before resending.
Revisions And Conversion
If a customer asks for changes, duplicate or revise the estimate instead of asking them to act on an outdated link. Send the latest public link after the updated version is saved.
When the estimate is accepted and ready for billing, convert it to an invoice from the internal estimate record. Review invoice number, due date, payment method, and line items before sending the invoice.
Test Before Sending
Preview the public page before sending. Check totals, expiration behavior, signature requirements, and attachments.
After testing, open the internal estimate and confirm the public action you tested did not leave the live estimate in an unintended accepted, rejected, or expired state.
Use a duplicate estimate for full accept/reject testing when possible. This keeps the real customer estimate from being changed during internal review.
