Public Document Signing
Help recipients preview, complete, and sign public documents.
Public document links let recipients review documents and complete required signature actions without workspace access.
Treat the public page as the recipient's source of truth. It should show the right document version, the right signer fields, and a clear completion action.
Use this page when a recipient asks how to sign, when you need to test the customer-facing signing page, or when a document link behaves differently than expected.
Recipient Flow
- Open the document or signing link.
- Review the document content.
- Complete required fields or signature blocks.
- Submit the completed document.
- Confirm completion.
Recipients do not need an Agiled login. The public page should show the document they were sent, the fields assigned to them, and the final submit action when all required items are complete.
Recipient Instructions
When sending the link, tell recipients what they need to review, whether a signature is required, and who to contact if the link does not open. This reduces confusion when multiple recipients receive similar documents.
Before Sending
Preview the document before sending and confirm:
- Recipient names and emails are correct.
- Signature blocks are assigned correctly.
- Attachments are available when needed.
- The document is not missing important sections.
- Each recipient has only the fields they should complete.
- The latest public link opens in a private browser window.
If you changed recipients, blocks, attachments, or document content after a test send, copy the newest link again before sending it to the recipient.
Test Each Recipient
For multi-recipient documents, test the public page for each signer. Each person should see only the fields intended for them.
After A Recipient Signs
After signing is submitted, return to the document inside Agiled and check the recipient status. Confirm the completed recipient is marked correctly and that any remaining recipients still have their own actions pending.
If the document depends on multiple signers, do not treat it as complete until all required recipients have finished their assigned fields.
Recipient Support Checklist
When a recipient reports a problem:
- Confirm they are using the newest link.
- Confirm their email matches the intended recipient.
- Check document and recipient status.
- Test the link in a private browser.
- Review custom domain or public-page settings if the link does not open.
- Resend only after confirming the document version is current.
Wrong Recipient Or Wrong Link
If a recipient sees fields for another person, stop using that link and review the recipient assignments on the document. Correct the blocks, save the document, and send the updated link only to the intended recipient.
If a Recipient Cannot Sign
Confirm the recipient is using the latest link, the document is still available for signing, and the recipient has not already completed their action.
Also test the same link in a private browser window. If it works there, ask the recipient to refresh, use the newest link, or try a different browser. If the link still fails, check document status, recipient status, public domain configuration, and whether the document was archived or replaced.
