Calendars
Manage connected calendars used by scheduling.
Calendars help Agiled understand busy times and write booked appointments back to the right external calendar.
Set up calendars before sharing a booking page. Calendar selection is what prevents public visitors from booking over existing commitments.
Calendar setup belongs to the meeting host, not only the workspace admin. The host's real busy calendar and write calendar should be connected before public links are shared.
Connected Calendars
After connecting a calendar provider, review which calendars are available and which ones should block availability. Keep old or unused calendars disconnected when they should no longer affect scheduling.
Common calendar decisions:
- which calendar should receive new booked appointments
- which calendars should block public availability
- whether personal busy events should hide time slots
- which provider account should be reconnected after a password or permission change
Test a Connected Calendar
- Connect the provider from integrations or scheduling calendar settings.
- Create a busy event directly in the external calendar.
- Open the public booking page.
- Confirm that the busy time is not available.
- Book a test appointment.
- Confirm that the appointment appears in the expected external calendar.
Calendar Problems
If bookings do not appear externally or busy events do not block time, reconnect the provider, check provider permissions, and confirm the expected calendar is selected.
Also check:
- the connected account is the same account used by the host
- the external event is marked busy, not free
- the event time zone matches the expected booking timezone
- the booking page and event type are active
- calendar sync has not been disconnected in integrations
Choose Blocking Calendars
Select every calendar that should make you unavailable. This may include a work calendar, personal busy calendar, travel calendar, or shared team calendar.
Do not select calendars that contain optional reminders or informational events unless those events should block customer bookings.
Review all-day events carefully. Holidays, travel reminders, and company events can remove full days from public availability when marked busy.
Choose the Write Calendar
The write calendar is where new booked appointments should appear. Use the calendar the host reviews every day. If appointments should be visible to a team, use a shared calendar that the right people can access.
After changing the write calendar, book a test appointment and confirm it appears in the new external calendar.
Reconnect or Remove Calendars
Reconnect after password changes, provider permission changes, or account migrations. Remove old calendars when a teammate leaves or when a booking page moves to another host.
Troubleshooting
If all slots disappear, check whether a blocking calendar has all-day busy events or imported holidays marked busy.
If double bookings happen, confirm the relevant busy event exists on a selected blocking calendar and is not marked free.
If the wrong person receives appointments, check the event type host and the write calendar.
Ownership Changes
When a booking page moves to another host, reconnect or review calendars before sharing the link again. Then book a test appointment and confirm busy-time blocking, writeback, notifications, and meeting links all use the new host.
Test Each Host
For team booking pages, test each host instead of only testing the first available slot. Every host should have the right blocking calendar, write calendar, meeting link behavior, and notification address.
If one host shows wrong availability, fix that host's calendar connection before publishing the team link.
