Invoice Aging Report
Review outstanding invoices by aging bucket.
The Invoice Aging report groups unpaid or outstanding invoice amounts by aging bucket.
Use it as the starting point for accounts receivable follow-up. It shows which balances need attention before you contact customers.

Filters
Use currency when reviewing one currency at a time. This report is grouped by aging bucket and does not use date grouping.
Review one currency at a time for collection work. Mixing currencies can make priority decisions misleading unless your finance team converts totals outside Agiled.
Review Buckets Consistently
Use the same currency and review date when comparing aging between meetings. Changing filters can make receivables appear better or worse without any real payment movement.
How to Read It
Start with the oldest buckets. Larger amounts in older buckets usually need direct follow-up, payment reminders, or write-off review.
The report is designed for accounts receivable review. It answers which unpaid balances are current, recently overdue, or old enough to require escalation.
Use the aging bucket as a priority signal, then open the invoice before contacting the customer. Check recent payments, reminders, customer notes, payment link status, and any promised payment date.
Follow-up Workflow
- Sort the table by amount to find the largest outstanding balances.
- Review the oldest buckets first.
- Open the matching invoices in Finance.
- Confirm the invoice was sent to the right customer contact.
- Check whether payment reminders or scheduled sends are enabled.
- Record any offline payments that have already been verified.
If a customer says they already paid, check payment records before changing the invoice status.
If payment was made offline, verify the bank transfer, check, or manual payment reference before recording it. If payment was online, compare the provider dashboard with Agiled payment history before asking the customer to retry.
After each follow-up, record the next action on the invoice, customer record, or task. The report should not be the only place where collection decisions live.
Review Routine
Review aging weekly or before month-end close. Start with the oldest and largest balances, then check whether reminders, payment links, and offline payment records are current.
Assign an owner for each old or high-value balance. Aging reports are useful only when the follow-up plan is recorded on the invoice, customer record, or task list.
Aging Review Checklist
Before sharing the report:
- choose one currency
- open the oldest and highest-value invoices
- confirm recent payments are recorded
- check scheduled reminders and public payment links
- assign owners for unresolved balances
- note disputed invoices separately from normal overdue invoices
Troubleshooting
If an invoice appears overdue after payment, confirm the payment was recorded against the correct invoice, date, amount, and currency.
If an invoice is missing, check invoice status, currency filter, and whether it has already been paid or canceled.
If the same invoices remain overdue after follow-up, add tasks or notes so the collection plan is visible to the team instead of only living in the report.
