Review A Recurring Invoice
Use the recurring invoice detail page to review schedule, totals, and billing actions before changing automated invoicing.
The recurring invoice detail page is the control screen for one automated billing template. Use it before pausing, resuming, duplicating, generating, or deleting a recurring invoice.
Open The Detail Page
- Open Finance > Recurring Invoices.
- Select the recurring invoice template.
- Review the customer, schedule, amount, next generation date, and latest generated invoice.
- Use the page actions only after the billing period and customer agreement are clear.
If the template is unavailable, confirm you are in the correct workspace and that your role can access finance records.
Review Before Acting
Check the template before using any action:
- customer and billing contact;
- currency, tax, discount, and total;
- line items and quantities;
- payment terms and delivery settings;
- next invoice generation date;
- latest generated invoice and unpaid invoices;
- internal notes or customer context.
Recurring invoice changes affect future billing. Treat them like finance changes, not just list maintenance.
Pause Or Resume Billing
Pause the template when billing should stop temporarily. Pausing keeps the template available but prevents scheduled generation while paused.
Before resuming, confirm the customer is ready to be billed again and that the next generation date still matches the agreement. If pricing or service terms changed during the pause, edit the template before resuming.
Generate Now
Use Generate Now only when you need an invoice outside the normal schedule. Before generating, check whether an invoice already exists for the same billing period.
After generation, open the created invoice and review line items, due date, payment instructions, customer email, and status before sending it.
Duplicate Or Delete
Duplicate a template when another customer or plan uses similar billing. Review every copied field before activating the duplicate, especially customer, email, currency, tax, schedule, and payment terms.
Delete only when the template should no longer be used. If billing might resume later, pause instead so the billing history remains easier to understand.
