Share and Embed Forms
Copy a public form link or embed code from the form detail page.
After a form is saved, share it with a public link or embed it on another page.
Open Sharing
- Open CRM > Forms.
- Select the form.
- Use the form header or sharing panel to copy the link or embed code.
Public Link
Use the direct link when you want to send the form in email, chat, documents, booking confirmations, or website buttons.
Copy the link from the current form, then open it in a private browser window. This confirms the form is public and not just visible because you are signed in.
If the form is for a campaign or website, test the exact page where the visitor will click it. A copied link can work while a website button still points to an older form.
Use the direct link as the fallback for support. If the embedded website version fails, the direct link helps you confirm whether the issue is the form or the host website.
Choose Link or Embed
Use a public link for email, chat, QR codes, documents, and quick campaigns. Use an embed when the form should feel like part of your website or landing page.
For high-value lead forms, test both the form and the follow-up record inside Agiled before sending traffic to the page.
Embed Code
Use embed code when the form should appear inside a website page. After embedding the form, test the page on desktop and mobile.
If the direct link works but the embed does not, check whether the website cached old code, stripped the script, blocked embeds, or loaded the form inside a layout that is too narrow.
Give the website owner the current embed code after every form replacement. Editing fields usually does not require a new embed, but replacing the form or slug can.
If the website uses a page builder, cache plugin, script optimizer, or strict security policy, publish the page and test the live version. Builder previews do not always behave like the final page.
Before Sharing
Check:
- The form is active.
- Required fields are correct.
- Submission action and mapping are correct.
- Success message and redirect URL are correct.
- Notification email is correct.
- The public form submits successfully.
Also confirm the submission creates or updates the intended record. For lead forms, check the contact or deal. For support forms, check the ticket or task.
After Publishing
Submit one test response from the same page customers will use. Then confirm submission storage, mapped fields, notifications, workflows, and redirect or success message.
Review the first real submission after launch. Confirm source, mapping, notification recipients, and workflow output before increasing traffic to the form.
Replace Old Forms Safely
When replacing a form, update every old link: website buttons, email templates, booking messages, workflow emails, documents, and ads. Then submit one test from the live page to confirm the replacement is complete.
Sharing Checklist
Before publishing:
- confirm active status
- confirm required fields and helper text
- confirm mapping to CRM records
- confirm notifications and workflows
