Agent Thread History
Continue, review, and archive past agent conversations.
Agent threads keep past conversations available so you can continue work, review what the agent said, and inspect the latest run status.
Use thread history when an answer needs follow-up or when you need to confirm what was asked before an action was approved.
Open Past Threads
- Open Agents.
- Open the thread history panel.
- Select a thread.
- Review the title, summary, messages, and latest run status.
Threads can show a short summary and the last run status. A failed or cancelled status means you should inspect the messages and tool activity before relying on the thread.
Continue A Thread
Continue a thread when the new request belongs to the same customer, process, or investigation. The prior context can help the agent answer follow-up questions more consistently.
Start a new thread when the topic changes or when the previous context could confuse the answer.
Archive A Thread
Archive threads that no longer need to stay in the active list. Archiving keeps the workspace cleaner and reduces the chance that users continue an old conversation by mistake.
Before archiving, confirm there are no pending approvals, unresolved follow-up tasks, or useful decisions that should be moved into a source record, wiki page, task, ticket, or workflow.
Review Run Status
Use the latest run status to spot problems:
- failed: review the error and ask again only after correcting context;
- cancelled: confirm whether any work completed before cancellation;
- running or submitted: wait before sending duplicate prompts;
- succeeded: still review the source records before acting.
